The Van Job is the first short from Mutually Assured Productions. The Van Job was filmed in fall of 2009 and was completed in early 2010. The crew of Mutually Assured Productions rented the Capitol Theater in Olympia, WA and premiered The Van Job to an audience of 200+ in February of 2010. Since then The Van Job has gone on to be an official selection of Tacoma’s NW Film and Arts Festival, and an official selection of the 2010 Tacoma Film Festival’s Filmmakers Forum.

The Van Job synopsis:
A young woman wakes up to find herself bound and gagged in the back of a moving van – destination unknown. Who is the bearded driver? Where is he taking her? And when will Detectives Robert and Sanchez come to her rescue?
Mystery, suspense, and a surprising twist: all are elements of “The Van Job”, a film short written, produced and directed by Olympia indie filmmaker Ken Carlson.
“The Van Job” is an exciting, fast-moving thriller about a girl in trouble and who, with a little help from her friends, finds a way out – and helps nab some bad guys in the end.
